What time zone does the API use?

All timestamps returned by the Smartvatten API are provided in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).

The API uses the ISO 8601 standard for date and time values.

Example:

2025-07-25T10:00:00Z

The Z at the end of the timestamp indicates that the time is in UTC.

Data in the Smartvatten API is available with a 3-hour delay from real time.

This delay allows Smartvatten to validate and process incoming data before it is made available through the API, helping to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the reported values.
